Weightless Books Customer’s Q&A
Weightless Books FAQs
Weightlessbooks.com Return Policy?
Weightless Books is an independent ebook site that sells DRM-free ebooks from independent presses. When a book is ordered, the customer is immediately taken to a page where they can download the book. An URL from which to download the book is also emailed to the customer. If the customer registers, all their books are available at any time in their Library. The ebooks can be sent directly to the customer's ereader2.
If a customer misplaces, loses, or deletes their ebook by mistake, they can get another copy. They need to sign up for an account with Weightless Books using the email address where the order confirmation was sent. Then, they can go to My Library, where they will find live download links to all the books they've purchased1.
If a customer buys an ebook in the wrong format by mistake or gets a new ereader, they can have a different format instead. My Library lets them change their preferred ebook format anytime (though the format options are limited to those made available by the publisher). They can choose the format they want from the dropdown list, click Update Preferred Formats, then click the links to download the new version1.
As for the shipping policy, since Weightless Books is an ebook site, there is no physical shipping involved. The books are delivered electronically, so there are no shipping costs or delivery times2. If there are any questions, problems, or feedback, customers can email Michael J. DeLuca at weightlessbooks@gmail.com3.
About Weightlessbooks.com Popular Products and Services?
WeightlessBooks.com is an independent ebook site devoted to DRM-free ebooks from independent presses. The site was founded by two enthusiasts of independent visions, Gavin J. Grant and Michael J. DeLuca. On January 1, 2022, Gavin stepped back and Michael took over. The site offers a variety of products and services. One of the popular products is The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, an award-winning SF magazine which is the original publisher of SF classics like Stephen King’s Dark Tower, Daniel Keyes’s Flowers for Algernon, and Walter M. Miller’s A Canticle for Leibowitz. Each double-sized bimonthly issue offers compelling short fiction by writers such as Kelly Link, Mary Robinette Kowal, Michael Moorcock and many others. The site also offers a feature where all your books are available at any time in your Library. You can get your ebooks sent directly to your ereader. They sell DRM-free ebooks because they believe those who buy ebooks should be able to move them around between their devices at will. They request their customers to be kind to these independent publishers and not pirate these titles. The site opened (a soft opening) in March 2010 and has been growing organically ever since. It led off with books and zines from Small Beer Press and Blind Eye Books; now it carries lots of indie presses, many of them publishers of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. They are open to queries from interested publishers. The site design was done by Michael J. Deluca with help from Diana Cao, Felice Ling, and others using WordPress on Macs in 2010 (and on!).
